This Day, the Twenty-Sixth Day of July
The departure out of this life of St. Anne, mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God.
At Philippi, in Macedonia, the birthday of St. Erastus, who was appointed bishop of that place by the blessed Apostle Paul, and there crowned with martyrdom.
At Rome, on the Latin road, the holy martyrs Symphronius, Olympius, Theodulus, and Exuperia, who (as we read in the Acts of Pope St. Stephen) were burnt alive, and thus obtained the palm of martyrdom.
At Porto, St. Hyacinth, martyr, who was first thrown into the fire, and then precipitated into a stream without being injured. Afterwards, under the emperor Trajan, being struck with the sword by the ex-consul Leontius, he terminated his life. His body was buried by the matron Julia, on her own estate near Rome.
Also, at Borne, St. Pastor, priest. His name is used to designate a cardinal's title in the church of St. Pudentiana, on the Viminal hill.
At Verona, St. Valens, bishop and confessor.
In the monastery of St. Benedict, near Mantua, St. Simeon, monk and hermit, who was renowned for many miracles, and at an advanced age rested in the Lord.
At Lovere, in the diocese of Brescia, St. Bartholemea Capitanio, virgin, who founded the Sisters of Charity, dedicated to teaching the young. Pope Pius XII added her name to the catalogue of holy virgins.
And elsewhere in divers places, many other holy martyrs, confessors, and holy virgins..

Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ)
This Litany in honor of Jesus in His Most Precious Blood was drawn up by the Sacred
Congregation of Rites and promulgated by Pope John XXIII on February 24, 1960. The
devotion to Jesus in His most Precious Blood was first popularized by St. Gaspar del
Bufalo (1786-1837, feast Dec. 28) who founded the Missioners of the Most Precious
Blood. A partial indulgence is granted to the faithful who recite this litany.

Saturday is the Day dedicated to The Blessed Virgin and her Immaculate Heart.
Saturdays are, traditionally, the days Catholics go to Confession in preparation for receiving the Eucharist on Sundays (some Catholics might make a habit of going to Confession on Saturdays; other might go before Mass on Sunday, and, of course, as always, whenever needed). Also on Saturdays, many Catholics make what is called the "First Saturdays Devotion" which entails going to Mass and receiving Communion on the first Saturday of the month for 5 consecutive months in reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary are prayed on Saturday
"I would like to remind you that the Rosary is a biblical prayer, all filled with the Holy Scriptures." It is a prayer from the heart, in which the repetition of the Ave Maria directs the thought and affection towards Christ, and thus is made a confident prayer to Him and our Mother. It is a prayer that helps to meditate on the Word of God and assimilate the Eucharistic Communion, on the model of Mary who kept in her heart everything Jesus did and said and even His Presence. CHAPTER 46: THOSE WHO OFFEND IN OTHER MATTERS
1 If someone while laboring at any kind of work, whether in the kitchen, in the cellar, while serving, in the bakery, in the garden, at any craft, or in any place, commits any fault
2 or breaks or loses something, or fails in any way whatever;
3 and if he does not immediately go before the abbot or the community and of his own accord make satisfaction and admit his fault
4 if this is made known by means of another, he is to be subjected to more severe correction.
5 If, however, the cause of the sin is hidden in the soul, he is to reveal it only to the abbot or to spiritual seniors,
6 who know how to heal both their own wounds and those of others without exposing them or making them public.
