Dead end of liturgical reform

in the Cathedral of Passau. Not too surprising really that the Bishop of Passau was one of the key supporters of the pre-Concilliar liturgical movement, even I think having a westward facing altar in the 1940s. They don't even have a sanctuary now, or if they have it has been thorougly invaded.

The Curt Jester:

Consistency and the Curt Jester displaying consistent genius!

Barriers begin to fall

"Two rural parishes planning to begin weekly Latin Mass"

Pontifical Mass with extraordinary numbers

"If this is what it takes to fill our Churches, so be it"

Remember Pimp my Church

that very spiritually orientated (not!) Youth Project from Luxembourg.

The idea is now being used to market Mastercard in Austria.

The imaginary student, one Robert Schumann, the composer!

Pimp my Church has as much to do with Catholicism as Pimp my Study has to do with classical music.

Diocese of Linz

has a special website where you can tell them what you think. They will understand English. Some have questioned whether they understand Catholicism. The advertising promises that everything you say will be listened to!

Tune in to EWTN

DENTON, Nebraska - AUGUST 17, 2007 - For the first time in its 26 year history, Mother Angelica's Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) will be broadcasting a live Solemn High Mass at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Hanceville, Alabama on September 14, 2007 at 8:00AM EST.

EWTN has asked for the assistance of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter, an international Society of Apostolic Life of Pontifical Right, to help celebrate this "extraordinary" form.

This past July 7th, Pope Benedict XVI affirmed the beauty and importance of the Tridentine Mass by issuing Summorum Pontificum, a papal document encouraging and confirming the right of all Latin Rite priests to use this more ancient use of the Mass starting September 14th. The Tridentine Mass was the normative liturgy experienced by Latin Rite Catholics prior to the Second Vatican Council

25 days 16 hours 10 minutes to go before implementation.
