Vatican Ambassador to the USA actively dislikes many American Catholics

Pope's Nuncio to the US calls for moderation from conservatives

Vatican diplomat Pierre: Critics of Francis' church course well-connected in the United States, but "just because they are loud, they are not the reality"

The Vatican ambassador to the USA calls for moderation from conservative Catholic groups in the country. According to Archbishop Christophe Pierre, they should listen to the Pope. And if Francis says something against the USA - why not? "Maybe he's right, maybe he's wrong, let's check it and then move on," the French-born man told the Kathpress news agency in Rome on Friday.

On Saturday, Pierre will officially join the ranks of the Cardinals. The French Vatican diplomat has been working as the Pope's ambassador to the USA since 2016. This is where some of the most vocal critics of the Pope's exercise of his office come from. They also don't give a damn about his favorite project, the World Synod. Most recently, at the beginning of September, Francis described these US groups as reactionary and backward-looking. They replaced the true teaching of the church with an ideology.

There was great excitement among the conservatives addressed. In between: the Papal Nuncio Pierre. He said he understood the pope's frustration with them. However, he does not want the situation to be described as a deep rift between the Vatican and the USA. Society in the USA in general is divided and polarized. Additionally, these groups did not represent Catholics in the states. The conservatives are well connected and stick together, but "just because they are loud doesn't mean they are reality," said the Vatican diplomat.

It is sometimes frustrating because they misrepresent reality. They wanted to impose their ideas and there was a tendency to forget the Pope. “But if you forget the Pope, you are no longer in the church,” said the archbishop.

Pierre acknowledged that there is a temptation in the US church to ideologize issues. This would forget that the church should bear witness in society and accompany people in their suffering: women who suffered from abortion, people in poverty, divided politicians.

Someone inform this blithering idiot that many of the elements of the Revolution originated in the ignoring of the Pope by leftists: from Communion in the hand to Altar Girls.
