France consecrated to the Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary

France has been consecrated to the Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary during the Paray-le-Monial celebrations presided over by Cardinal Bustillo, who had been mandated by Pope Leo XIV. The Bishop of Ajaccio emphasised the role of the Heart of Jesus: "When Jesus touches the heart, he purifies and transforms it. It becomes luminous. Our world, our society needs to remember this event and pass on this luminous moment. We live in a hard, proud society. Jesus told us to be gentle.

Consecration in the presence of 5,000 faithful

From 26 to 29 June 2025, 5,000 people were present at Paray-le-Monial, accompanied by Cardinal François-Xavier Bustillo, Bishop of Ajaccio, Archbishop Éric de Moulins-Beaufort of Reims and President of the French Bishops' Conference (CEF), and Bishop Benoit Rivière of Autun, Chalon and Mâcon.

On 27 June, following the procession of the Blessed Sacrament, the consecration of the Blessed Sacrament took place, involving individuals, families and the whole of France. Mgr de Moulins-Beaufort proceeded with the consecration as follows: "With Cardinal Bustillo, the bishops here present will renew the consecration of France to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Heart of Mary, and I invite you to join in with the refrain that will punctuate this consecration. I entrust you to Jesus".
