Open German defiance of Vatican ban on female preachers

And yet I preach! - kfd women preach on Junia Day

Women preachers of the Fourth Preachers' Day

No surprise that they are as embarrassed as
Protestants with the Body of Christ on the Cross.
An abstract faith.

Thirteen women preachers will give a special face to this year's kfd Preacher's Day and will speak at twelve locations throughout Germany.

Düsseldorf, 12 April 2023: On the Day of the Apostle Junia on 17 May, the Catholic Women's Association  of Germany (kfd) - Bundesverband e.V. is organising a nationwide Women Preachers' Day for the fourth time. This year, the day has a special significance: on 30 March 2023, the Vatican confirmed the canonical ban on laywomen preaching in the Eucharist. Prior to this, it was decided on the Synodal Way that the bishops would draw up a regulation for the permission of lay women to preach in Eucharistic celebrations and send it to Rome.

Almost 70 women did not let their mouths be shut this year either and stood up for equal rights for women in the Church with their sermons. They have registered for the kfd Preachers' Day and will interpret the Gospel in a Eucharist or Liturgy of the Word. Thirteen women preachers give the campaign a special face and will speak at twelve locations throughout Germany.

Cathcon: If they think they are Apostles, which is Judas?

Ulrike Göken-Huismann, Spiritual Director, will preach for the kfd national association in a Eucharistic celebration.

Cathcon: There has been much debate over the centuries whether Junia was male or female. There is but one reference to her/him in the Bible and the Vulgate and Douai Rheims opts for Junias, a male form.   Both Andronicus and Junias were removed from the Roman Martyrology at date unknown.

Romans 16
[7] Salute Andronicus and Junias, my kinsmen and fellow prisoners: who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.
Salutate Andronicum et Juniam, cognatos, et concaptivos meos : qui sunt nobiles in Apostolis, qui et ante me fuerunt in Christo.
