Archbishop Pennacchio has become President of the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy, the Vatican's diplomatic school. He is a couple of consonants away from diplomatic disaster. As Sir Henry Wooten said in 1604, "An ambassador is an honest gentleman sent to lie abroad for the good of his country".
