Modernists attempt to put the disastrous reign of Francis beyond criticism in a push for Francis II

NB The critics below are those that spin elaborate fables about the life of Francis and even attempted to canonise him at his own funeral.  The truth must be told or we will have Francis II with all the ruination in matters of Faith and Morals that that implies.

"Battered the dead Pope": German Cardinal Causes Vatican Uproar

Pope Francis is dead: Funeral date set – Cardinals currently in the Vatican

Pope Francis had not even been buried yet when German Cardinal Müller attacked him. For many in the Vatican, this was absurd.

Did he really do that? That must have crossed the minds of some Vatican observers. On Thursday (April 24), German Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller gave a compelling interview to the Italian newspaper La Repubblica.

German Cardinal critical of late Pope Francis

"A chapter in Church history has closed," the Mainz native stated in the interview. He refrained from praising the late Pope, saying that judgment rests with God. He recapitulates that Francis's commitment to migrants, the poor, and overcoming divisions is "unanimously recognized," but that Francis has "sometimes been somewhat ambiguous." Under Pope Benedict XVI, on the other hand, "perfect theological clarity" prevailed.

When asked who might succeed Pope Francis, Müller made it clear that he doesn't necessarily hope for a continuation of the Argentinian's unconventional pontificate. He emphasized: "The future pope is not the successor to his predecessor, but the successor of Peter." Boom!

Unusually harsh words for ecclesiastical standards, especially since Francis had only been dead for three days at that point and the Pope's funeral hadn't even taken place yet.

The Sede vacante, the period between the death of a Pope and the election of a successor, is highly sensitive. The Vatican is extremely cautious, especially for those hoping to become Pope – something the current top candidate to succeed Francis is currently noticing.

Cardinal Müller, often described as the German with the "greatest" chance of becoming Pope, may have completely sidelined himself with his interview for the upcoming conclave.

Vatican expert scolds German Cardinal Müller: "He attacked the dead Pope"

"He attacked the dead Pope, publicly criticized him. You don't do that, even with the best will in the world," says Vatican expert Andreas Englisch in an interview with IPPEN.MEDIA. The experienced observer and papal expert didn't take kindly to the German's interview at all – and most likely, many clergy members did too.

Müller was considered the German with the best chance of becoming Pope – expert sees "zero chance"

From Englisch's perspective, one thing is clear for the upcoming papal election: "Cardinal Müller has zero chance!" While these chances were already vanishingly small even before the critical statements, now it seems to have been finally sealed.

Cardinal Müller is considered a clear supporter of Pope Benedict XVI, but he was consecrated a cardinal by Francis in 2014. Observers considered his chances in the conclave poor, partly because Germans have lost influence and partly because Müller is considered to be part of the conservative wing; he has even been called the "Trump of the Catholic Church."

Considered conservative: Cardinal Müller praises German Pope Benedict

However, Müller has always resisted being described as conservative, writes the College of Cardinals Report. He prefers to simply consider himself "Catholic." That he apparently sides more with the more conservative Benedict than with Francis was also hinted at in his sensational Repubblica interview. "With Pope Benedict, there was perfect theological clarity, but everyone has their own charisms and abilities, and I think Pope Francis had them more in the social sphere," Müller said, noting in a different context that the Church should not be confused with a political organization.
