Penitent erotic model retires to convent

She earned money with erotic films and has now retired to a convent: This is the story of an Italian model who does not rule out entering a convent. The young woman is no stranger to the convent.

Italian erotic model Emy Buono does not rule out entering a religious convent. "I'm going to the convent to find peace and well-being," Buono told the news site "fanpage.it" about her stay in a convent. "I won't take any vows, but it's not something I can rule out either, considering how unique I am," the 25-year-old said. At the moment, the porn actress is in the convent of the Oblate Sisters of the Child Jesus in Sorrento on the Gulf of Naples for an indefinite period. There, she says she makes rosaries and is responsible for preparing meals. Buono, a former go-go dancer, knows the nuns from her participation in the television reality show "Ti spedisco in convento" ("I'm sending you to the convent") in 2021. She feels "at home" in the convent, and the sisters accept her as she is - even after she began to be active on the paid erotic website "OnlyFans".

Because sex videos from this website were illegally spread on the internet and also seen by Buono's family members and friends, she withdrew to the convent, the erotic model explained. "I don't want to become a saint - that's clear - but I want to protect myself from the people who judge me." She had been insulted and indecently approached in the street because of her sex videos, even in the presence of her mother. Buono regrets making money from pornography at OnlyFans: "I was selfish, I didn't think about anyone, not my family or loved ones." She had a lot of trouble with her boyfriend's family because of the published videos. Buono has since closed her account on the website.

Background

I am sending you to the convent!

We hosted five girls with a very active social life, to show them that not everything has to be lived regardless.

"Ti spedisco in Convento", the docu-reality, produced by Fremantle, an adaptation of the international format Bad Habits, Holy Orders, has arrived exclusively on discovery+.

The four-part format will show what happens when two very distant worlds are "forced" to live together. Because at the origin of this encounter there is a surprise: the girls, unaware of the ordeal they are about to experience, convinced they are taking part in another kind of adventure more suited to their standards of living, will instead find themselves facing the gates of a real convent.

The protagonists of this experiment are five very extrovert, flamboyant and social addicted twenty-somethings: Emilia for all Emy, rebellious, seductive, lives without restraints and inhibitions; Valentina, a demanding and snobbish university student; Sofia, a globetrotting influencer, model and lover of unbridled luxury; Stefania, direct and aggressive, has no plans for the future, and finally Wendy, the eternal adolescent with an introverted soul, lives more on social networks than in real life. Welcoming and guiding these five girls on a human and spiritual journey will be five nuns from the Congregation of the Oblate Sisters of the Child Jesus at the Convent la Culla in Sorrento. The Congregation, founded in 1672 to help girls in difficulty, today reopens its doors after four centuries for this unprecedented social experiment. The nuns involved in this unusual mission are: Sister Daniela, Mother General of the Congregation, ironic and authoritative, a glance from her is enough to set those who disobey in line; the inflexible Mother Superior Sister Monica, who dictates the rules and tasks of coexistence; Sister Felicita, shy and reserved, is the convent's grandmother with a big heart; Sister Analia, who with her 28 years of age and contagious cheerfulness brings good humour and harmony among the sisters; and Sister Arleide, sweet and patient, will teach the girls the love of the kitchen garden and the garden, one of the convent's central activities.

The girls, who have always been accustomed to living without rules and spending their time on social networking, shopping sessions, aperitifs and exclusive parties, will have to come to terms with the convent's "new community life" marked by very precise rules, timetables and duties to be respected: waking up at dawn, Mass, prayers, cleaning, charity activities and respect for silence from 10pm. The girls will also have to hand in their mobile phones and adapt their clothing and behaviour to the sobriety of the place that hosts them. Will the love and patience of the nuns succeed in breaking the girls' hearts? "TI SPEDISCO IN CONVENTO" is produced by Fremantle for Discovery Italia. It is available exclusively on discovery+. The official hashtag is #TiSpediscoInConvento.
