New video from Pope places human beings at the centre
The International Prayer Apostleship supervised by the Jesuit Order has published the video of the Pope with prayer intentions for the month of September. It is the ninth video that has been released this year since the beginning of this initiative.
The intentions are:
The human person stands at the centre of society - by everyone working for the common good.
Awareness of mission for all Christians - strengthened by the meditation of the Gospel and the sacraments.
The video is entitled: "For a more humane society".
The first "video of the Pope" for the month of January 2016 was especially criticised because of its "syncretic" character. "Abstruse" statements of a Catholic priest personnel involved in the video and former spokesman of Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Buenos Aires ensured further concern. The dogmatic theologian Klaus Obenauer wrote in his review: "The pope must decide: Nathan the Wise or Christ".
