Alois Metz and André Flury of the Catholic Church in Lucerne invite you to a Jazz Vespers together with the jazz professor and composer, John Voirol. 

The Composer

Psalm prayers that speak of lament, despair, anger, but also of hope and thanksgiving, alternate with a musical interpretation by a jazz formation of students from the Lucerne School of Music.

The Jazz Vespers will take place on Wednesday 16 March in the Franciscan Church, on Thursday 17 March in the Church of St. Josef-Maihof, on Friday 18 March in the Hofkirche and on Saturday, 19 March in the Church of St. John. Start at 8 pm in each case.

Due to current events, the Vespers are dedicated to the victims of the civil war in Libya and the catastrophes in Japan. The collection is for Caritas emergency aid for refugees from Libya and for earthquake victims in Japan.
