Is Archbishop Piero Marini being lined up for a top liturgical post?
On 4th April, the Holy Father, Francis received in audience, Piero Marini, Titular Archbishop of Martirano, President of the Pontifical Committee for International Eucharistic Congresses.
Archbishop Marini was the Master of Ceremonies under Pope John Paul II, being replaced by the Msgr Guido Marini who has a much sounder liturgical sensibility.
Piero Marini was a pupil of Archbishop Annibale Bugnini, of evil memory, who was responsible for the preparatory work for the new Mass but who was instantly exiled to diplomatic work in Iran when it was discovered he was a freemason.
Archbishop Marini speaks for himself.
"Go to this Father Bugnini and do what he tells you".
