some comments are blind, blind modernists, as usual. The modernists and conciliarists already tried for almost 40 years to attract the world by acting worldly and "cool". Wrong. Their "churches" are empty and dead, and they became also empty and dead. The Church does not attract souls to Christ this way. Once the "fun" fades away, there is no more reason to stay. The Church attracts by sanctity of life. Saints attract. Saint John Bosco sometimes played with his kids, but he wasn't the "cool" priest. He was just calling kids, his voice had the power of saints. That is what we, poor sinners have to be able to imitate. I am not judging this particular friar. I personally sympathize with them. But we have to be very careful with impressive "cool" things... Just my opinion.
This video is great. It shows how there is no battle between the tradition of the Church and being relevant in EVANGELIZATION. The "relevant" crowd think we need to remake the Mass to appeal to people. Appealing to people is not bad, but destroying the Mass is.
As a previous commentator said, everything in its proper place. In the street, go ahead and use a skateboard. In Church, use incense!
I daresay I can imagine St. Francis of Assisi using a skateboard on the streets, but he would definately be right at home with the ad orientem Mass.
