Holy See Upholds Bishop Arthur's Closure Of Pontefract Church

Following the reordering of the Deaneries of Pontefract and Wakefield by Bishop Arthur last summer there was an appeal addressed to Holy See by some parishioners from the former Parish of Holy Family Chequerfield. On the 12th of January the Holy See through the Congregation for the Clergy ruled on the appeal and rejected it."
