Once started, they just could not stop. So after the 1975 "restoration", this is what the poor parishioners of Miltenberg are given, much at their expense.
The altar apes the old style with folding side panels- except conveys nothing to the ordinary passer-by. It is actually meant to be Christ calming the waters and a fishermans net.
