A further example of the "hermeneutic of continuity" in action. The change of the Good Friday prayer is similar to Pope Pius XII's change of the liturgical texts of the Solemnity of the Assumption. Simply a deeper understanding of revealed truth.

I just received a press release today from USCCB calling for applications for press passes for Pope Benedict's visits.

You wouldn't have happened to have applied for a press pass as a Catholic blogger? I'm doing an informal poll to try and find a few who have and see what the response has been.

No, I won't be coming Stateside for the Papal visit. Would however be very interested in which Catholic bloggers will be there.
