What you've never been to a parish cook-out? Or a youth group cook-out. From all we know they could have been hours apart. And that little town in the background might not have a Church, so that's where they celebrate Mass. Remember that Christ's first sharing of the Bread was upon the Hill with the 5,000 not in a Church.

While there are abuses not all that seems devoid of propriety is so. Context has to be considered. In Ireland there are outdoor Masses at Mass rocks where our ancestors were forced to celebrate during the Protestant Penal times. These Masses are so we don't forget the price our people have paid for our faith. Sometimes a priest (such as myself) is caught between celebrating the Mass in less than perfect conditions (e.g. a house Mass for the sick or elderly) or not celebrating. I note that the scouts at the Mass celebrated on an upturned boat were kneeling!
