Wow. It's quite possibly the most hideous altar I've ever seen. It brings back bad memories of a First Communion Mass I went to--replete with photo-opp communion and choreographed processions, hellish music, and miscellaneous impiety. I say, go back to ancient tradition. Make a child's first communion RIGHT AFTER baptism. It's so much better that way. (Really, the designers of this altar will have to answer for their crimes.)
