The article you link to seems to say, "Give me ritual, not dogma." Without the doctrines of the Church, the ritual is empty and meaningless sentimentalism that, at best, is unfruitful, and at worst, is damning if one is in a state of mortal sin.

I agree that ritual has the power to convert, but people cannot be misled into thinking that what they are embracing is defined by their own beliefs. They are the ones who ocnform, not hte Church.
