The second picture does not represent a Russian Orthodox sanctuary. Clearly it represents the state in which the previous owners left it. I have no doubt that it will be converted into a church suited to the Byzantine Rite. I know that Catholics regard Orthodox as schismatics, but the Orthodox are about the furthest thing possible from Novus Ordo iconoclasm.
