in the Philippines. At least someone gets it right!
"On the whole, it can be concluded that the Philippines is very well aware of the importance of preserving the past specifically old churches. Conservation efforts are underway and are, without doubt, the concern of both the church and the state. There is a high level of consciousness, appreciation and concern for conservation among the hierarchy of the Church, the clergy and the laity. It is recognized that they are instruments for evangelization and pastoral services."
