Olomouc. On Monday, May 26, 2025, P. Pavel Bačo SJ, who has been working in the novitiate in Birmingham, took over the office of the Provincial of the Czech Province of the Society of Jesus. The Superior General Arturo Sosa SJ appointed him by a decree dated March 4, 2025.
He removed Father Paul Ambrose SJ from his position as Director of the Aletti Center and Superiors of the Olomouc Community. He appointed Father Milan Glaser SJ as the new interim Director of the Aletti Centre and Father Ladislav Nosek SJ as the Superior of the Olomouc Community, who is also the Superior of Saint Hostyn. Father Michal Altrichter SJ was removed from the position of deputy director of the Aletti Centre. Father. Václav Novotný SJ has retired from the position of vocation promoter and P. Miroslav Herold has taken over this role.
