Vatican to celebrate St George's Day with public holiday

The 13th March, the day of the election Jorge Mario Bergoglio as Pope and his name day on 23 April, the Feast of St. George have been declared to be non-working days in the Vatican, in accordance with Article 50 of the General Regulations of the Roman Curia. At the same time the 19th April (election of Benedict XVI)h has been abrogated as a free day. The employees of the Vatican have again in 2014 the same number of non-working days as they did under John Paul II, because the name day of Benedict, the feast of St. Joseph is in the Vatican a holiday in any case. The Italian National Days (Liberation Day, Republic Day) do not apply in the Vatican, of course
