Just to prove the break took place before the Second Vatican Council, prayer card for a Jesuit, Gerard Beckers who was about to leave for India in 1953.

I discovered the card on a brick-a-brack stall in Floreffe- Father Beckers died three years ago, having taken Indian citizenship in 1978- he was known as Babu.
