Foundations & laboratory for a liturgy that points to the future

Modernists at sacred play around one of Anthony Gormley's Night Watch sculptures

In addition to foundations and experiences, new and diverse liturgical forms are to be developed in a laboratory by those who, primarily as laypeople, will be the creators of liturgies in the church, but also in private and public spaces in the future. Future-orientated liturgies are planned as designers and participants in celebrations. The units are open-ended. Keywords such as communication, prayer, space, body, sound, biblical reference, language, leadership and responsibility are discussed. The joy of celebrating a liturgy that can be experienced as a "sacred game" determines the perspective. These three units are intended to encourage participants to lead liturgies and to strengthen their own competences.
