Many traditionalists did not exactly feel his warm heart. If Cardinal Dolan is saying this, one suspects that it is a more general view in the Cardinal's college and an early sign that ecclesiastical history is not going to be kind to the record of the most recent Pontificate. It is also a coded signal that he wants the job. The English politician, Cecil Parkinson once formulated Parkinson's Political Law, "They will deny you what you are seen most to want"
