The Bishops of Ireland believe their flock have become a ‘nation of pagans’ according to a new report issued by the Association of Catholic Priests.
The body polled its membership to discover the true feelings of Ireland’s bishops and priests on the laity.
The Irish Examiner reports on the findings of the poll which suggest that the majority of bishops believe Irish people have succumbed to the ‘evils of materialism and consumerism’ of the Celtic Tiger era.
The ACP report also states that there is a strong view among ecclesiastical authorities that falling vocations and Mass attendance figures are a result of people ‘not having time or interest in faith’ rather than as a result of the clerical sex abuse scandals.
The ACP report claims that a substantial number of bishops and some priests believe that the problems facing the Church are not due to any difficulties in the Church or with the priesthood, but are caused by a lack of faith in the people

Homosexual dating website for Catholic priests run from Vatican

"A dating website for closeted gay priests has been operating out of the Vatican for a number of months now. Described as a service for 'homosensible Roman Catholic priests' it's a development that seems designed to enrage conservative members of the church.
Although it contains no pornographic content, critics are claiming that the site, named Venerabilis, could certainly provide an opportunity for gay priests to arrange sexual contact.
According to Pink News the site reportedly contains chatrooms in five languages, where face-to-face meetings have been publicly arranged in a number of locations.
The site is reportedly run 'by a fraternity of Homo-Sensitive Roman Catholic Priests' for those seeking to find 'like-minded priests' using chatrooms and 'missed connections' posts."

Lutherans and Catholics agree to a common narrative on the Reformation

The publication From Conflict to Communion will be published this month by the Lutheran – Roman Catholic Commission on Unity. The commission is mandated by The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) and the Vatican’s Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity (PCPCU) to facilitate the global ecumenical dialogue between the two Christian World Communions.
LWF Assistant General Secretary for Ecumenical Relations Rev. Dr Kaisamari Hintikka said the publication From Conflict to Communion: Lutheran–Roman Catholic Common Commemoration of the Reformation in 2017 contributes to strengthening the commitment to work for the visible unity of the Church. It will be presented to the LWF Council at its meeting this June.
“After centuries of mistrust and prejudging between Lutherans and Catholics, we see this [publication] as a great opportunity to reflect together on the burdens of history, and to open more possibilities for witnessing together, not just as individual Christians but as Christian churches,” Hintikka said.
The publication takes into context the 500th anniversary of the Reformation and the 50th anniversary of the Lutheran-Roman Catholic dialogue in 2017. It builds on important ecumenical milestones especially the Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification (JDDJ).

Yes, that is the Head of the CDF in the back row.
Cathcon- there is a history of the Reformation that conforms to the truth, and it is not this shared fable.
