Right-wing incidents in Würzburg seminary
Würzburg: Reports have been heard in recent days that there were right-wing incidents in Würzburg seminary. The Evangelical Press Service (EPD) reported that some of the current eight seminarians had celebrated the birthday of Adolf Hitler on 20th April, while music played from the Neo-Nazi scene and even the Nazi salute was made. Anti-Semitic and racist "jokes" were made. "The Catholic Church cannot accept such goings-on. Church teaching of charity and tolerance, as well as the equality of all people are contradicted in a fundamental way by the reported occurrences. Semitism, racism and Nazi ideas may occupy no place in our society.
“Especially the churches must accept their responsibility for the basic values of our society - particularly democracy and human rights – and be aware of and confront any trends otherwise within their structures. We demand consistent, complete and transparent information and processing of the allegations by the seminary and appropriate consequences for those affected. A pledge which aims to establish the positive relationship to Judaism is in this context totally inadequate. " said Christopher Renninger, spokesman for the Green Party's university association (GHG) in Würzburg. As future priests, seminarians take still a high moral position. The fact that people with racist and anti-Semitic views give sermons, teach children and conduct pastoral care, must be strictly rejected. The designation as "unpleasant tendencies" by Regens Baumann represents a relativisation and inappropriate to the circumstances.
Particularly piquant are reports that the seminarians were obviously concerned to spread their radical ideas in the Würzburg student fraternity Franco Raetia.
As already the Cathedral Radio reported, the board of the old boys' association have complained to the Seminary Regens Herbert Baumann "about the spread of offensive right wing ideas among student activists"
"The fact that the affected seminarians had already attracted attention at a fraternity house, shows that it is not the case that the so-called gaffes on April 20 were an isolated case, but that these people are obviously attracted by the Nazi ideology and try to spread their world view.
“Therefore, we expect clear consequences on the part of the Catholic Church. We also call on the Franco-Raetia Student Association to explain the context in which the seminarians were able to promote their ideas to the activists and whether this was often the case, and in particular, what were the reactions of the student activists. "says Lisa Rehn, spokesperson of GHG . For the GHG, this example shows clearly that even in the Catholic church, which is closely linked to the German state, undemocratic and inhumane opinions and groups exist. The GHG expected telling consequences for the persons concerned, a detailed explanation and a clear commitment of the Würzburg seminary to democracy, tolerance and human rights.

Vatican City, the resignation of Bertone nears
The Secretary of State is ready to leave. Bergoglio undecided.
After Joseph Ratzinger, another big player in the Church had decided to resign. As reported by Dagospia, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone announced over the weekend that as of June 2, he wishesto leave his post as Secretary of State of the Vatican after pressure received from the Commission consisting of eight cardinals appointed by Pope Francis.
Pope wants more collegiality.
The intent of the Committee is to achieve greater collegiality in the government of the Church. Bergoglio, however, has not yet decided whether to accept the resignation by making the news public, or wait a few more weeks to arrange a change of leadership in a more gentle and quiet manner.

French church in grave danger of becoming Masonic temple

The Freemasons of Vierzon would be interested in acquiring the church of St. Eloi. For the diocese, who is the vendor, one buyer is now official: the town authorities.
A communist mayor who is buying the church is to consider selling to a local Masonic lodge, which is a rather unusual scenario.
In their latest bulletin, the Diocese of Bourges in which Vierzon lies, claims to have sold the church of Saint-Eloi, without specifying the name of the purchaser. "The time has come to part," it simply states before inviting parishioners to the las Mass on June 22 to be celebrated by the Vicar General, Father Stéphane Maritaud followed by a communal meal. The Diocesan Treasurer, Patrick Lemaréchal, when contacted, confirms that the town of Vierzon is buyer. "She has the right of first refusal with the aim of creating a community centre."
The decision of the Freemasons is expected
The selling date was set for June 17. Last fall, the idea of a mosque had created controversy, but this was rejected by the Muslim community. Then an obscure Confraternity of St. Eloi, who claimed towant to keep the place in Christian use, was put on the ranks in December. It has launched several campaigns to raise donations for the sum of 170,000 euros (estimate Areas) requested by the seller. Contacted yesterday, the head of the Brotherhood, Olivier Bidou, did not respond to the call.
On behalf of "the common good," and in order not to let the church fall into evil hands, the city decided to preempt in April (in the Le Berry républicain (this newspaper) of April 4). Contacted yesterday, the deputy mayor and Nicolas Sansu said that "no bill of sale is signed yet."
"In addition, we have a potential buyer. I expect, moreover, an appointment with the Archbishop to discuss. "
Such purchaser may be the Masonic Lodge Friends of Liberty, the Grand Orient of France, in the Rue Etienne-Marcel. Elected municipal Freemasons are not strangers to this proposal. "The mayor has contacts in recent months, with the local Freemasonry," says an elected municipal opposition, which considers the use of pre-emption "questionable."
The brothers have been looking for some time for another place to establish their temple. The Place des Joncs, which was considered at one time, was rejected. Today, there are three options for the lodge, two in Vierzon - why not St. Eloi church?- And one in Méreau.
"Talk about the Freemasons if you want but for now nothing is certain, nothing is done," says the mayor. The Grand Orient of France, in Paris, says that it is no aware of the approach in Vierzon - "remember at the end of this week, we'll see" - and confirms, if confirmation were needed, that "there is nothing illegal in the possibility of Freemasons purchasing a public building . "
The ways of the Lord are called impenetrable, like those of Freemasonry. The Vierzon lodge swill advise the mayor in the coming days if it wishes to buy or not. In the case of a negative response, the municipality, whose "purpose is not to buy at any cost," says Nicolas Sansu, will quickly tell the citizens of Vierzon the end use of this new acquisition for 170,000 euros.
