Cathcon did warn that it was carnival time again

Called (NOT) to BE Church

Albany Diocese plans to close, merge several churches:

Capital Region Catholics will soon have fewer options of where they can attend mass. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany is planning to close or merge several parishes.

The restructuring process has been named, Called To BE Church

The holy water has frozen in Cologne Cathedral

Its the coldest winter for a hundred years in Germany.

No surprise to Cathcon readers that I consider the fight for liturgical restoration to be more important than the fight to prevent global warming.

New Orleans drops charges

against Catholics

New Orleans prosecutors have dropped criminal charges against two protesters who were arrested after they refused to leave a Catholic church closed by the archdiocese.

Poppy Z. Brite and Hunter Harris III appeared in court Wednesday but weren't arraigned on charges of trespassing and resisting arrest. City attorneys said they would not proceed with the case. City officials said the goal of ousting the protesters had been reached.

Carnival time comes but once a year

and when it comes it brings untold liturgical abuses. Also deeply satirical.

Deeply satirical- the Show Must Go On
