Prayers for General Absolution

which was dispensed on the Feast of St Agnes, Holy Thursday, Holy Trinity and the Feast of St Catherine- the frontespiece of a small book from 1809. The practice is now all but banned following widespread post-conciliar abuse. Why go to confession when you can wait for General Absolution was surely a question few if any asked in 1809.
