Stealth priestess leads the Corpus Christi Procession


Guilty of incipient protestantism by carrying a Gospel Book in front of the Blessed Sacrament. Catholics venerate Our Lord in this Most Blessed Sacrament, not the Gospel Book in itself, although judging by some liturgical performances there are some that do.

Looks like a sacramentary to me, and you can tell that she's not being some stealth priestess, she's simply in front of the blessed sacrament, looks more like an acolyte than a priest.

I think it would be better if the young woman dressed as a Druid walked behind the priest with the rest of the procession.

After all, the procession is in honour of the Blessed Sacrament.

Actually, the Gospel Book is a symbol or sign of Christ's presence. In the Eastern rites, it's always on the alter, even at the consecration of the Holy Gifts. And it is most certainly venerated.

Proof, because there prolly is. She could be an altar server, and I know that our MC here in Seattle Archdiocese is a woman, and does a dang good job if I may add. I see nothing wrong with her MC'ing.
