New Church opens

in Bostonand is dedicated by the Archbishop.

"O'Malley made his comments from the altar, in front of a 13-foot stained glass window that came to Stoneham from the now-shuttered St. Aidan Catholic Church in Brookline.

It is one of many artifacts that came from closed parishes. Ten stained glass windows came from St. Aidan's and five from St. Margaret's in Brockton. The altar came from Nuestra Senora del Carmen in Lowell, and the statues, a lectern, and crucifix came from St. Joseph's Parish in Hyde Park. Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Revere donated a statue of St. Patrick, and Blessed Sacrament Church in Jamaica Plain gave the church a pair of white marble angels that greet people as they enter the church."
